Republican attempts to paint the Democrats as a party rife with sex scandals after Graham Platner suspended his campaign to win Maine Republican Susan Collins’ seat in the U.S. Senate got a thorough beatdown on MS NOW on Thursday morning. “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough pointed to Donald Trump’s well-documented history of sexual misconduct accusations, his ties to notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s infidelities and suggested the GOP may want to sit this one out. With Politico reporting, “Republican National Committee Chair Joe Gruters said that ‘Democrats rolled in the mud with Platner, and now they are completely stained by their association with this sick monster,’” Scarborough was overwhelmed by the hypocrisy. “I just want to say, really —— I mean, Republicans that are spending their time on Fox News and social media; outrage that Democrats would support, dare support a candidate who was accused of sexual impropriety, even when that candidate vehemently denied that. That is beyond hypocritical.” “That is, that is just sheer farce,” he exclaimed. “This is, this is even beyond South Park levels of farce.
