BillboardSiriusXM Canada Launches New Rolling Stone Canada Channelbillboard.comSiriusXM Canada has launched a new Rolling Stone Canada channel. Debuting today (Jun. 30), Rolling Stone Canada on SiriusXM will celebrate the country’s diverse music and culture scene. It’s available to Canadian SiriusXM app listeners on channel 754. The channel aims to deliver a dynamic blend of entertainment, news and interviews, including iconic Canadian tunes and today’s biggest hits, while spotlighting emerging artists on the precipice of their big break. " Rolling Stone has long been one of the most influential voices in music and culture, making this an exciting addition to SiriusXM's lineup of diverse Canadian programming," says Michelle Mearns, SVP of programming & operations at SiriusXM Canada. " Rolling Stone Canada offers listeners more than great music. It delivers discovery, storytelling and cultural context that deepen the listening experience." Rolling Stone Canada launched at the beginning of this year, entering with one of the biggest Canadian artists of the 2020s as its its first cover star, Tate McRae . The channel takes its nod from Rolling Stone 's long history as a benchmark for music culture and is "inspired by the voice, authority, and influence of the world’s most iconic music publication," writes SiriusXM . SiriusXM is one of the biggest drivers of satellite radio and audio in the world. In Canada, it's known for championing homegrown talent, a quality that earned Mearns and president & CEO Mark Redmond coveted spots in this year's Billboard Canada Power Players list . Rolling Stone Canada on Sirius XM joins the company’s lineup of Canadian music, including Mixtape: North , Top of the Country Radio , Influence Franco , The Tragically Hip Radio , Iceberg , Indigiverse , Everything Is Broken (hosted by Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew) and more. Last year, SiriusXM Canada launched SiriusXM Dhamaka , an innovative South Asian music channel. Programmed by Emmy-nominated music supervisor Raoul Juneja, the program spotlights the genre’s surge in growth throughout Canada, while also continuing its sponsorship of the annual Top of the Country contest. Rolling Stone Canada on SiriusXM continues that legacy in Canada with the backing of one of the world's most influential music brands. Listen here or on the SiriusXM app on channel 754. Rolling Stone Canada is owned by ArtsHouse Media Group (AMG), the same parent company as Billboard Canada.
