Supported by InvestEU, the European Investment Fund (EIF) is backing Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ (CIP) Advanced Bioenergy Fund II (ABF II) with €200 million to support biomethane and advanced bioenergy production. This will advance the energy transition and energy security in Europe. The projects will convert feedstock into biomethane and is focusing on greenfield projects in countries including Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Belgium, and Finland.
