Rosie O'Donnell Open to Guest-Hosting 'The View' Again, But Says Show Hasn't Called

"I would. They haven't asked me."

O'Donnell's openness to a return comes as "The View" has recently welcomed back other former co-hosts, including Abby Huntsman and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, according to Deadline. O'Donnell, who co-hosted the show from 2006 to 2007, had a famously contentious relationship with Hasselbeck during their time together on the panel.

When asked about Hasselbeck's recent guest appearance, O'Donnell offered a pointed observation about the current political landscape. Deadline reported that O'Donnell suggested Hasselbeck is the type of voice the show wants in the Trump era.

"In the Trump era, that is the voice they want."

O'Donnell's remarks highlight the ongoing evolution of "The View" as it navigates its mix of political commentary and entertainment, with the show frequently drawing on its deep bench of former hosts for guest appearances. Whether producers will take O'Donnell up on her offer remains to be seen.
