Premier Energies Inaugurates 5.6 GW Module Facility, Progresses 7 GW Cell & 6 GWh BESS Project

Hyderabad-based Premier Energies has inaugurated its new 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Seetharampur in Rangareddy, Telangana. The commissioning of the new facility increases Premier Energies' total solar module manufacturing capacity to 11.1 GW. In a press release, the company said the expansion strengthens its ability to serve both domestic and international markets. The new facility houses advanced G12R TOPCon module manufacturing lines, India's first Zero Bus Bar manufacturing unit, AGV-enabled material movement systems, and AI-powered quality inspection systems. Premier Energies also conducted a groundbreaking ceremony for its upcoming 6 GWh Battery Energy Storage System ( BESS ) facility and an 18,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) aluminium frames manufacturing facility. Spread across 75 acres, the Seetharampur manufacturing campus is the latest addition to Premier Energies' manufacturing footprint. The automated production lines are capable of manufacturing one solar module every four seconds while maintaining precision, consistency, and quality at scale. With the addition of the BESS and aluminium frame manufacturing facilities, Premier Energies is also expanding into allied clean energy and manufacturing segments. Once fully operational, the Seetharampur campus is expected to create more than 3,000 jobs, empowering local communities and supporting a diverse workforce. Adding to Premier Energies' Portfolio The company is also developing a 7 GW solar cell manufacturing plant, with project completion on track to reach 4.8 GW soon and the remaining 2.2 GW by September 2026. Additionally, the company is developing a 10 GW ingot-wafer manufacturing plant in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh. The company said it aims to complete 5 GW of the project by December 2027 and the remaining 5 GW by December 2028. Leadership View Speaking at the occasion, Surender Pal Singh Saluja, Chairman, Premier Energies, said: “Inauguration of the Seetharampur facility is a proud milestone in Premier Energies’ 30-year journey. What began as a vision in 1995 has grown into one of India’s leading integrated solar manufacturing platforms. This facility reflects our commitment to technology, manufacturing excellence and India’s clean-energy future." The project was inaugurated by A. Revanth Reddy, Telangana's Chief Minister, in the presence of Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, of the Telangana Government, and Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Industries and Commerce, and Legislative AƯairs, Government of Telangana.
