Paul HastingsPaul Hastings’ Summer Associates Give Back Through Annual Summer Camp Kit Projectpaulhastings.comEach summer, Paul Hastings brings its summer associates together across offices for a shared volunteer experience centered on service, connection and community. This year, summer associates packed camp kits filled with hygiene essentials for children attending summer programs through the Navy SEAL Foundation and SCOPE, Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education. These programs help make camp possible for children and families who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend. The volunteer initiative builds on a longstanding firm tradition of supporting Navy SEAL Foundation camp programs for children from military and veteran families. This year, the firm expanded the effort to include SCOPE, which provides access to overnight summer camp and college scholarships, creating pathways through camp and classroom to college and career. The annual service project is part of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, which creates opportunities for people across the firm to engage with nonprofit partners through meaningful, hands-on volunteer work.Over the years, Paul Hastings has donated more than 4,000 camp kits in support of these efforts.“At Paul Hastings, giving back is part of our culture, and we want our summer associates to experience that from the very beginning,” said Lauren Brooten, head of Corporate Social Responsibility. “This project gives our people a meaningful way to connect, learn about our nonprofit partners and support our local communities.”That commitment continues beyond this annual project. Through volunteer time off, employee matching gifts, the PHilanthropy Spotlight Series, career panels, charity running programs and other community engagement initiatives, Paul Hastings creates opportunities for its people to engage in service, learn from nonprofit leaders and help expand access and opportunity throughout the year.
