The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is showing its appreciation for the nation's service members by offering free admission throughout the month of July.As part of its annual Military Days promotion, active-duty and retired military personnel can ride the tram for free with valid military identification. Participants will also receive a special gift during their visit. The promotion extends beyond service members. Spouses of deployed military personnel and widows of service members are also eligible for complimentary admission. In addition, up to four guests accompanying a qualifying military member will receive 25% off regular tramway admission.Visitors can take advantage of more than 50 miles of hiking trails within Mount San Jacinto State Park, participate in guided nature walks, or enjoy a meal at one of the mountain station's dining venues. With temperatures typically much cooler at the tram's mountain destination than on the desert floor, officials say the promotion offers a great opportunity for military families and guests to enjoy outdoor recreation and escape the summer heat. The Military Days promotion runs throughout the entire month of July at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.
