Toronto police officer Marc Pinizzotto killed in raid, remembered for hockey community service

Even after playing elite-level hockey, and spending nearly two decades as a constable with the Toronto Police Service, Marc Pinizzotto will be equally remembered for teaching hundreds of little kids how to skate and shoot a puck.

The 43-year-old, who was a constable with the Toronto Police Service's Emergency Task Force unit, was shot and killed Thursday during an early-morning raid in a northwest part of the city, which the force said was related to a shooting at the U.S consulate in the city earlier this year.
