Amazon MGM Studios has pushed back the release of David Leitch's upcoming action-comedy 'How to Rob a Bank' from its original Labor Day weekend slot to November 13, according to Deadline. The film, which stars Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz, and Pete Davidson, was previously set for a September 5 debut but will now open in the pre-Thanksgiving corridor.
"The shift aims to capture a larger 18-34 audience and leverage the Thanksgiving holiday corridor, as the studio has seen strong demo response to the film's marketing materials."
The studio's confidence in the film's appeal to younger viewers drove the move, Deadline reported. The new date places the movie in a competitive but lucrative window as holiday moviegoing ramps up.
The A.V. Club described the plot as following "a crew of social media influencers who use viral videos to dominate the bank-robbing scene." The film marks another high-concept action project from Leitch, known for 'Bullet Train' and 'John Wick.'

While the delay shifts the film away from summer blockbuster season, the Thanksgiving proximity could draw the same young adult demographic that the studio is banking on, according to Deadline's reporting. The film's blend of heist action and social media satire appears aimed at a modern, internet-savvy audience.
