Data Center Power Coalition Forms to Accelerate Energy Co-Development for AI Infrastructure

A new coalition called the Data Center Power Coalition, comprising 12 energy and technology partners, is promoting "power co-development" — the practice of planning energy infrastructure alongside AI compute capacity from the outset. The initiative aims to address power constraints facing AI data centers by accelerating speed-to-power through coordinated planning of on-site solar, storage, load flexibility software, and grid interconnection. The goal is to bring firm compute load online in months rather than years by enabling AI infrastructure teams to work through a single coordinated network.
