Meta is deepening its push into wearable artificial intelligence with the launch of Meta Glasses, a new line of smart eyewear developed in partnership with EssilorLuxottica that the company hopes will bring AI into everyday life. The launch builds on the momentum of Meta's existing smart glasses business, which the company describes as the world's best-selling AI eyewear category. The new collection combines AI-powered features with a broader emphasis on fashion, offering 26 styles across different frame shapes, colors and lens options, including prescription lenses. Prices start at $299.For Meta, the product represents more than a hardware refresh. The company increasingly views glasses as the most natural vehicle for an always-on AI assistant—one that can see, hear and understand the world from the wearer's perspective. The new lineup includes three frame families. Meta Adventurer features a classic rectangular design available in multiple sizes, while Meta Fury offers a bolder aesthetic. A third model, Meta Glasses by Kylie, was developed in collaboration with Kylie Jenner and features a slim oval silhouette inspired by her personal style.Like Meta's existing AI eyewear, the glasses are designed to blend digital assistance with everyday utility. Users can access Meta AI through a dedicated action button, listen to music and podcasts through open-ear speakers, make calls using an upgraded microphone array and capture photos or videos hands-free.The company says the glasses offer more than eight hours of battery life on a single charge, while a portable charging case provides up to 40 additional hours of use.A central feature of the launch is the integration of Meta AI powered by Muse Spark, a new model developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs. The glasses are the first in Meta's portfolio to ship with the technology from day one.The updated AI system is designed to deliver more context-aware assistance, helping users answer questions, identify what they are seeing, navigate daily tasks and manage schedules through voice interaction. Meta says the same AI upgrade is also being rolled out to Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses in the United States and Canada. The company is also introducing new software features, including Dynamic Photo, which automatically captures multiple images and recommends the strongest shot. Future updates are expected to bring pedestrian navigation for displayless glasses and support for 14 additional languages in its live translation feature, including Hindi, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Korean.Meta Glasses are available beginning today through Meta's online store and retail partners including Best Buy, Amazon, LensCrafters and Sunglass Hut, among others.Read: Meta-CRED deal includes $100 million in ad credits
