New Delhi: Mehak Jaini stepped down from Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) after more than two years, bringing to a close her first stint on the client side after spending nearly 16 years in the agency business. Jaini announced her departure in a LinkedIn post, saying she wrapped up her journey with the FMCG major on July 1. "Two years ago, I made what was probably the biggest leap of my career. I crossed over to the client side to join Godrej Consumer Products Limited. It was a leap into the unknown. One that has forever changed how I think about advertising and effectiveness," she wrote. She added, "On 1st July, with a full heart, I wrapped up that chapter." At GCPL, Jaini most recently served as Global Brand Equity Lead - Personal Care & Global Effectiveness, after previously leading Global Brand Equity for Hair & Air. Before joining GCPL in March 2024, Jaini spent nearly 16 years at DDB Mudra Group, where she rose to become National Strategy Head at 22feet Tribal Worldwide and Vice President - Strategy. During her agency career, she worked on brands including McDonald's, Disney+ Hotstar, Lipton, Godrej, LIC, Femina, The Economic Times, ITC Vivel and Future Group, and played a key role in strengthening the agency's effectiveness credentials at the Effie Awards.
