Marjorie Liu is a creator I've admired for a very long time. This week she joins the show to talk about how she discovered comics through X-Men: The Animated Series and how her love of storytelling and reading led her to a career writing novels and eventually comics (all after graduating from law school). Her insight into her writing process, especially with how she approaches Monstress , is a must listen for anyone working in the creative field. How she balances the epicness of her creator owned title with themes of trauma, identity and resilience is a masterclass.
