Mahua Moitra aide, TMC IT cell head Nilanjan Das thrashed by crowd in Bhawanipore

New Delhi: Nilanjan Das, described as the Trinamool Congress IT cell head and an aide of party MP Mahua Moitra, was thrashed by a crowd in Kolkata’s Bhawanipore area, with videos of the incident showing him crying and pleading as people around him shouted “chor chor”. The videos, which surfaced on social media, showed Das surrounded by a group of people in a public place. Some members of the crowd were seen confronting him, while others shouted slogans and accused him of being a thief. He is Nilanjan Das.
