Wizards of the Coast announced a three-part Secret Lair crossover between Magic: The Gathering and Stardew Valley at MagicCon: Amsterdam on July 17. According to IGN, the collaboration is known as the Superdrop of the Moonlight Jellies and brings the world of the Ferngill Republic to the trading card game.

"Affectionately dubbed 'The Superdrop of the Moonlight Jellies'"

IGN also highlighted a foreboding in-universe quote from the announcement, setting the tone for the crossover's darker elements.

"Deep in the mines... there are creatures that shouldn't exist."

The three limited-edition drops were designed in collaboration with Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, and Wizards of the Coast. Kotaku reported that the sets include reimagined MTG classics like Swords to Plowshares and Crop Rotation, alongside brand-new original cards featuring Stardew Valley characters and items. The cards adopt the game's signature pixel-art style.

"brings the cozy, pixelated aesthetic of Pelican Town to MTG"

According to Kotaku, the Secret Lair drops are limited in quantity and expected to sell out quickly. But Why Tho? noted that the Superdrop is "all about cozy," while Nerdist reported the collaboration will delight fans. Playcentral.de confirmed that sales begin on July 27, 2026. Nintendo Life also covered the announcement, noting it follows other Stardew Valley merchandise like a crochet book.
