Legendary Entertainment and Scholastic Entertainment are developing a live-action feature film adaptation of the beloved children's book series 'The Magic School Bus.' Rob Letterman (Detective Pikachu) will write the treatment and direct, while Elizabeth Banks is set to produce and star as the iconic teacher Ms. Frizzle. The project moves to Legendary after rights lapsed at Universal, which had previously announced development in 2020 with Banks and producer Marc Platt.
