"Tony Morales, tras una década dedicado al cortometraje de género fantástico, debuta en el largometraje con 'Hada'"
Audiovisual451.com reported that the film is inspired by Morales's own 2015 short of the same name, expanding on a story that first gained attention in festival circuits. The feature stars Mexican actress Esmeralda Pimentel alongside young actor Liam Segu, though plot details remain under wraps.
"[Tony Morales es] el malagueño Tony Morales, uno de nuestros mejores cortometrajistas de terror"
El Blog de Cine Español highlighted Morales's reputation as one of Spain's best short horror filmmakers, noting that the blog has tracked his career for years. The production is backed by Eterno Island Pictures together with Rock & Ruz, bringing together resources from both Madrid and the Canary Islands.
The leap from short to feature comes after years of festival success for Morales, whose short films have played at numerous national and international events. With 'Hada', he joins a tradition of genre filmmakers using a proven short as a springboard into longer form storytelling.
