New Delhi: Actor and entrepreneur Kunal Kapoor announced the launch of MetaGO, a doctor-led metabolic health platform designed to help people manage obesity and related metabolic conditions through structured medical care, diagnostics and long-term clinical support. MetaGO was founded by Kunal Kapoor, Varun Sheth, and Zaheer Adenwala. The founders said the idea emerged from their experience of building crowdfunding platform Ketto, where they saw families dealing with the financial and emotional impact of conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity. The platform combines doctor-led consultations, metabolic assessments, personalised treatment plans, clinically appropriate GLP-1 therapies, nutrition guidance, fitness coaching, and ongoing monitoring into a single, integrated care model. Commenting on the launch, Kunal Kapoor, Co-Founder, MetaGO, said: "Fourteen years of building Ketto teaches you to see patterns. We met thousands of families at some of the hardest moments of their lives, often after years of diabetes, obesity, or other metabolic conditions had progressed. Over time, it became clear that many of those conditions had begun developing years before anyone needed medical treatment. That's what led to MetaGO. We're not building a weight-loss company. We're focused on the years when the right intervention is a doctor’s consultation instead of a surgery. GLP-1 therapies have genuinely changed what's possible for many people living with obesity, but medication is only one part of the journey. Lasting outcomes come from combining it with medical supervision, nutrition, behaviour change and ongoing support. Nobody should be left alone with a strong drug and a printout. At MetaGO, we believe you need to “Stop fighting your biology alone." Varun Sheth, Co-Founder & CEO, MetaGO, added, "India has made significant progress in expanding access to healthcare, and we believe the next opportunity lies in making long-term metabolic care more continuous and connected. MetaGO is centered around that idea: doctor-led from day one, delivered to your doorstep, and designed around your life. Our ambition is to make the standard of care that was previously available only to a privileged few accessible to every Indian who needs it. More broadly, we believe the future of healthcare will increasingly shift towards earlier, more continuous metabolic health management, enabled by diagnostics, digital care, and evidence-based therapies." Dr. Kaushal Patel, Cardiologist, MetaGO Medical Advisory, said, “GLP-1 therapies have expanded the treatment options available for people living with obesity, but their impact is greatest when combined with proper clinical supervision, metabolic monitoring, and sustained lifestyle support. MetaGO's model is founded on this principle, ensuring that every member receives evidence-based, physician-led care designed to deliver meaningful long-term health outcomes.” MetaGO said every member will begin with a metabolic assessment covering more than 35 biomarkers, followed by a clinical evaluation. Based on the results, specialists, including endocrinologists, diabetologists, cardiologists, or internal medicine physicians, will prepare personalised treatment plans. Where clinically appropriate, GLP-1 therapies will be combined with doctor supervision, nutrition guidance, fitness coaching and regular follow-ups. The company said the platform follows a continuous care model in which treatment plans evolve based on a member's progress. As part of its community outreach, MetaGO recently organised a free metabolic health camp for the Mumbai Police, offering blood tests and physician consultations. The company said it plans to conduct similar initiatives for other professional groups in the coming months.
