Ukraine War Project 'Reminiscence' Tops Karlovy Vary Promises Awards

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival has announced the winners of its Promises industry strand project showcase, with the Ukraine film project 'Reminiscence' taking a top prize. The announcement came as part of the festival's industry program, which presented 38 film and series projects to attending industry figures.
'Selamlik' and 'They Bloom at Dawn' are among other works-in-progress winning prizes.
Alongside the established Works in Development and KVIFF Central Stage initiatives, the festival introduced a new program aimed at adapting books for the screen. That initiative reflects the growing crossover between literary properties and film production in the European market.
