Justin Bieber has been added to the roster of headliners for the first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show, joining Madonna, Shakira, and BTS, FIFA and Global Citizen announced Wednesday. The show will take place on July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, according to Deadline.

Organizers are billing the 11-minute performance as a singular convergence of global entertainment and sport. As Yahoo News New Zealand reported, they described it as "a singular moment at the intersection of sport, culture and impact, broadcast live around the world." The event is co-produced by FIFA and the advocacy organization Global Citizen, which is using the platform to push for education funding.

Bieber himself weighed in on the significance of the tournament, telling Billboard in a statement: "The tournament brings the world together in a way nothing else can." The pop star joins a lineup that already featured some of the biggest names in music, including Madonna, Shakira, and the K-pop group BTS, as reported by ESPN.

According to Rolling Stone, the halftime show will benefit the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to expand access to education for children worldwide. That fund is a key part of Global Citizen's mission to link large-scale entertainment events with social impact campaigns.

The halftime show marks a historic move for FIFA, which has never before staged a Super Bowl-style halftime performance during its men's World Cup final. With four global superstars sharing the stage, the event is expected to draw enormous viewership from around the world.
