John Carpenter has announced Cathedral, a new audio/visual narrative album paired with his first-ever graphic novel, set for release on August 7 via Sacred Bones Records. Bleeding Cool reported the project features music by Carpenter, Cody Carpenter, and Daniel Davies, previewed by the single "Lord of the Underground." Stereogum noted the graphic novel, co-created with Carpenter's wife, was inspired by a dream and follows an abandoned church in downtown Los Angeles after a police officer is killed.
