Japan's ispace partners with SpaceX to offer end-to-end lunar infrastructure services by 2030

Japan's ispace, a robotic lunar landing company, is expanding into lunar infrastructure services through a partnership with SpaceX. The company announced end-to-end services from design through landing and mobile operations on the lunar surface, with plans to launch up to 500 kilograms on SpaceX's Starship beginning in 2030. The announcement was made at the SpaceTide 2026 conference in Japan. Company executives Takeshi Hakamada and Hideari Kamiya clarified they are evolving, not abandoning, their current ULTRA lander plans.
