Clean-up underway for 40 flood-damaged boats and debris on Bundaberg's Burnett River

Three months after major flooding struck Bundaberg, a large-scale recovery effort is underway to clean up the Burnett River, which is littered with debris and about 40 damaged or destroyed vessels. Maritime Safety Queensland reports boats have been discovered in unusual locations such as cane paddocks, rock walls, and remote beaches, with 26 pontoons also missing. Some vessels traveled over 100 kilometers to outer reef islands.
