Waymo to begin fully autonomous trips in Denver soon, but you'll have to wait longer to catch one

Waymo to operate driverless vehicles in Denver without attendants, but public rides not yet available

Waymo is advancing its autonomous vehicle operations in Denver by moving to a phase where its self-driving vehicles will operate without human attendants. However, the public cannot ride yet — only Waymo employees can use the service for now. The company began testing in Denver in September 2024, using white Jaguars and blue Zeekrs equipped with cameras and radar to learn the city and adapt to winter road conditions. Public access is expected later this year.
