AdHoc Studio has announced that its superhero workplace comedy game Dispatch will finally arrive on Xbox Series X/S on July 29, according to IGN and Gematsu. The game, which previously launched on PlayStation 5 and PC last October and on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in January, centers on former superhero Robert Robertson (voiced by Aaron Paul) who becomes a dispatcher for a dysfunctional team of reformed villains.
"The narrative-focused game features choice-driven conversations that steer the plot down different paths, while dispatching heroes to handle a multitude of disasters unfolds as a light take on turn-based strategy."
Game Informer also highlighted that the game's humor and tone draw from the developers' experience at Telltale, with a focus on comedic timing and character-driven choices.
Dispatch's Xbox release comes nearly a year after its initial launch on other platforms. IGN noted that the Xbox version includes "uncensored scenes," suggesting that players on Microsoft's console will get the full experience without any cuts. The game has been described as a hit on its existing platforms, blending narrative adventure with light strategy elements.
"Xbox players can enjoy the antics of the Z-Team later this month when Dispatch hits Xbox Series X/S on July 29."
COGconnected reported that the announcement coincides with Comic-Con festivities, though the studio has not detailed specific tie-in events. The game is now available to wishlist on the Xbox Store, and its arrival marks the completion of Dispatch's cross-platform rollout, offering the same comedic dispatch simulation to all current-gen console owners.
