Colorado racial equity study moves to economic analysis phase as historical research wraps up

A Colorado commission overseeing the state's racial equity study is preparing to accept proposals for the economic analysis phase of the project. The study, mandated by a 2024 state law, aims to determine the historical and ongoing effects of racism against Black Coloradans. History Colorado is nearing completion of its historical research phase, which examines harms in housing, banking, employment, education, healthcare, and criminal justice.
