Saur EnergyGameChange Energy Secures 380 MWp Tracker Order for Australia's Lower Wonga Solar Farmsaurenergy.comGameChange Energy, a global provider of renewable energy infrastructure solutions, has been selected to supply its Genius Tracker™ 1P Terrain Following system for the 380 MWp Lower Wonga Solar Farm in Australia. In a press release, the company said that Lightsource bp is developing the project, with INTEC Energy Solutions serving as the EPC partner. Located in Queensland, the project will deploy GameChange Energy's Genius Tracker™ 1P Terrain Following system, which was selected for its ability to adapt to challenging terrain, minimise earth-grading requirements, support efficient construction, and deliver reliable long-term performance. The project will also implement GameChange Energy's industry-leading HailStow and MaxGen technologies, combining autonomous stow functionality with advanced tracker optimisation designed to maximise energy generation. About the Project In the announcement, Abderrahmane Ould Abdellahi, Chairman of INTEC Energy Solutions , said that selecting the right tracker is important for a project of this scale, as it affects both project delivery and long-term performance. Working closely with Lightsource bp, the company evaluated a range of factors, including the tracker's ability to minimise grading requirements while supporting efficient construction and reliable operation. "Lower Wonga is an important project for us, representing another significant step in our growth in Australia and reflecting the growing demand for utility-scale solar infrastructure designed for diverse site conditions," said Vaibhav Joshi, Managing Director – Oceania and Southeast Asia, GameChange Energy. "Australia continues to be an important market for GameChange Energy, and we are pleased to support this project alongside Lightsource bp and INTEC Energy Solutions." Prior to the Lower Wonga project, GameChange Solar in 2023 partnered with Bison Energy to supply its Genius Tracker™ systems for five utility-scale solar projects totaling more than 125 MW across New South Wales and Victoria. The company has since expanded its Australian footprint by establishing local offices in Sydney and a training and service centre in Newcastle to support utility-scale solar deployments.
