Fans waiting to command armies in the Seven Kingdoms will have to hold out a little longer. PlaySide Studios has delayed the release of Game of Thrones: War for Westeros from its original 2026 window to early 2027, according to multiple reports. The real-time strategy game, set in the universe of the HBO series, was first revealed during Summer Game Fest last year.

In an official blog post, the studio explained that the extra time is needed to ensure quality. According to vgtimes, PlaySide said it is giving the game "more room to breathe" before release.
