Liam Rosenior takes charge at Paris FC months after Chelsea departure

Liam Rosenior is back in management, having been appointed head coach of Ligue 1 side Paris FC. The 41-year-old signed a two-year contract with the French club, which announced the move on Tuesday after parting ways with previous boss Antoine Kombouare, according to Yahoo News New Zealand.
Rosenior's return comes roughly three months after he was sacked by Chelsea in April, a tenure that multiple outlets described in stark terms. BBC reported that he was dismissed after a difficult spell, while The Independent noted that his reign at Stamford Bridge was “disastrous.”
“Rosenior’s tenure at Chelsea was difficult and ended at the conclusion of last season.”
Paris FC finished 11th in Ligue 1 last season after what transfernewslive.com called a “turbulent campaign that saw them change coaches mid-season.” Kombouare had taken over in February, replacing Stephane Gilli, and helped stabilize the club before Rosenior’s arrival.
Rosenior now faces the challenge of building on that stability and pushing Paris FC higher up the table. The club’s decision to hire a manager with recent Premier League experience signals an intent to progress, though his brief and difficult Chelsea stint leaves questions about how quickly he can adapt to French football.
