Food Print Trouser Co-ord + Style With a Smile Link Up

Another week, another heatwave! The weekend was a warm one in London and public transport was not our friend. Our train was delayed, then terminated at Milton Keynes, so we were all crushed onto another one. Then the tube was really busy – Metallica and Harry Styles concerts on the same night, as well as Wimbledon – so it was the recipe for a sweaty mess. Metallica were fantastic though, a great atmosphere and performance. I’m so glad they played Master of Puppets as it’s my favourite song of theirs. (None of the sets on this tour were repeated, so we were lucky.) The train from Hackney Wick back to West Hampstead where we were staying was crazy. I was contorted into an unnamed yoga position with my face in someone’s beefy armpit for most of the journey. We were glad to get back to an air conditioned room. The following day we did an audio tour of the Houses of Parliament, which was fascinating. We got to see both the Lords and the Commons, including standing at the opposition despatch box.
