From rushing into dangerous situations to offering comfort in moments of crisis, these heroes answer the call when it matters most. Now it’s our turn to honor them. The Newton County Appeal is proud to recognize the outstanding firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, nurses, and emergency personnel who go above and beyond in service to others through our First Responder of the Year recognition. Community members are invited to nominate a deserving first responder who has made a meaningful impact through courage, dedication, compassion, and selfless service. To submit a nomination, please include
