Firebirds Bring Back Veteran Forward Mitchell Stephens on Two-Year Deal

Mitchell Stephens is staying in the Coachella Valley. The Coachella Valley Firebirds announced they have signed the veteran forward to a two-year American Hockey League contract that will keep him with the organization through the 2027-28 season. Stephens, 29, returns after appearing in 57 games for the Firebirds during the 2025-26 season, tallying nine goals and 11 assists for 20 points. Since joining Coachella Valley during the 2024-25 campaign, Stephens became a veteran leader inside the locker room.
