In his address at the opening of this year’s Hannover Messe, the Commission’s Executive Vice-President Stéphane Séjourné set the scene on Europe’s industrial policy: Today, we are in a context where every decision matters. The crisis in the Middle East has consequences for our economy and energy security. It reminds us: Europe can no longer just react. Europe must anticipate, innovate and adapt. This is what our industrial policy is all about. This newsletter brings readers an overview of the latest developments in strengthening the EU’s industrial policy and the Single Market, including the "One Europe - One Market" roadmap to drive competitiveness. You can read about supporting Europe’s clean technology manufacturers by helping to cluster their efforts through new Net Zero Acceleration Valleys; protecting the Single Market and companies from distortions caused by foreign subsidies; as well as find out more about EU efforts to secure critical raw material supply chains through international cooperation.
