Erdogan announced that Turkey had taken the necessary measures to reach Nato’s defence spending target of 5 percent of its gross domestic product by 2035. He said it had allocated an additional $24 billion to the budget for its Steel Dome air defence project to boost Nato’s air and missile defences.
