The Commission and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) signed a letter of intent for €478 million in additional guarantees under the InvestEU Fund and €11.4 million in advisory support to finance higher-risk projects in areas such as sustainable infrastructure, the green economy, digitalisation, innovation and SME financing. Following the "Omnibus II" regulation which reinforced InvestEU, the Union’s flagship investment programme, the amended guarantee agreement between the Commission and the EBRD will be signed shortly.
