David Gaider, former lead writer of Dragon Age, states in a PC Gamer interview that the Dragon Age series is effectively dead under Electronic Arts' ownership. He describes how EA treated Dragon Age as the "redheaded stepchild" compared to Mass Effect, dismissing its sales successes as "flukes" while making excuses for Mass Effect's underperformance.
