Microsoft detects multi-stage cyberattack campaign targeting hospitality industry in Asia and Europe
Microsoft Threat Intelligence has detected an ongoing multi-stage cyberattack campaign targeting the hotel and hospitality industry across Asia and Europe, active since April. The attacks use .zip files with photo-like naming schemes delivered via web browsers. Inside the archives are shortcut files disguised as images that, when clicked, initiate the infection chain. Microsoft has been unable to definitively identify the perpetrators behind the campaign.
