Pearl Abyss has released update 1.14.00 for Crimson Desert, introducing cross-save functionality across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and cloud platforms. The patch, which also includes bug fixes and combat improvements, allows players to transfer their save data seamlessly between devices without losing progress.
"Pearl Abyss has introduced one of the most requested features from the Crimson Desert community, and it's cross-save!"
According to MP1st, the feature addresses a long-standing demand from players who wanted the ability to switch between platforms. The update is available now, with the game client updating to version 1.14.0.
Polygon reported that the cross-save support is a "long-awaited feature" that "addresses a major pain point for players of the massive RPG." ComicBook noted that the feature is something "players of the open-world RPG have wanted since launch." The patch is relatively small in size, Pearl Abyss said, but delivers a significant gameplay quality-of-life improvement.
In addition to cross-save, RPG Site detailed that the update brings "quest and combat fixes" to the action-adventure title. Pearl Abyss also included various performance improvements, according to multiple outlets. The cross-platform sync works across PC, console, and cloud-based play, making it easier for players to continue their adventure on any device.
