Cannelle Ferragu: From isolated village childhood to electro-pop artist
By
Lydia Wei
Summary
French electro-pop artist Cannelle Ferragu (Cannelle) grew up isolated in a small village in southern France as one of the few Black girls with alternative interests. She found escape through social media, staging self-photoshoots in meadows as a "fairy in the forest." Her world later expanded when she began making music on a whim and performed shows with Live From Earth in Paris.
