Charli XCX played an intimate surprise show at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on Friday, giving fans a first listen to songs from her forthcoming album "Music, Fashion, Film." Rolling Stone reported that she debuted tracks "Playboy Bunny," "SS26," and "Camera" live for the first time, while Stereogum added that she also performed "Wink Wink," "Rock Music," and unreleased songs "Take Away The Music" and "SS26" (the latter confirmed by multiple outlets). The show was a pop-up event ahead of the album's release, the follow-up to 2024's Brat.

Special guests joined Charli on stage throughout the evening. According to Stereogum, she was joined by Underscores, Kim Petras, and Clairo. Rolling Stone also confirmed the appearances of Underscores and Kim Petras, noting the intimate nature of the gig at the 600-capacity venue.

"the first of two pop-up Charli XCX shows supporting her forthcoming album 'Music, Fashion, Film'"

Pastemagazine.com reported that Music Hall of Williamsburg, a Brooklyn venue that is closing by the end of 2026, hosted the first of two pop-up shows. The second pop-up will take place at London's Scala on July 14th. Pastemagazine.com also noted that both shows sold out, following a previous surprise gig by American Football at the same venue.

Culturedailynews.com described the performance as an "intimate surprise show" that featured live debuts and rarities. Musicianvoice.com added that Charli performed a "handful of Music, Fashion, Film songs live for the first time" during the gig. The sold-out Brooklyn show underscored the high demand for new material from the artist, who has been teasing the album since last year's Brat era.
