Charles Melton is Emmy-nominated for "Beef." He reflects on how "May December" changed his career: "Todd Haynes gave me an opportunity after I auditioned against 400 people. I would do anything for Todd Haynes — he changed my life. He’s one of my close friends. To be recognized for the work we did in “May December,” where people still compliment and make comments about that film and what Todd did, what Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore did — that’s what you want in your work, right? For your work to transcend and live through time in a way — not just one year, but decades. That’s the dream. I go back and watch films from years ago, decades ago. It’s amazing to see the life that the work I’ve been a part of has. I guess you can say that ever since I’ve worked with Todd Haynes, I’ve been chasing that feeling that I had with creating."
