Boy, 13, shot in Portage Park

A 13-year-old boy was shot and wounded Monday evening in Portage Park, according to Chicago police.
The child was outside at 8 p.m. in the 6000 block of West Montrose Avenue when a dark-colored SUV drove past and someone inside fired shots, striking the boy in the leg, police said in a statement.
Paramedics took him to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
Police reported no arrests.
