Bitchat, a decentralized peer-to-peer messaging application, has been released for communication over Bluetooth mesh networks without requiring internet, servers, or phone numbers. Hacker News reported that the app enables direct device-to-device communication through a mesh network architecture, providing privacy-focused messaging that doesn't rely on centralized infrastructure.
