Aurelien Tchouameni Signs New Real Madrid Contract Through 2031

Aurelien Tchouameni has signed a new contract with Real Madrid running through 2031, the club announced. The 26-year-old midfielder is currently competing for France at the World Cup. Tchouameni's previous deal was set to expire in 2028.  Madrid signed Tchouameni from Monaco in 2022 for a fee exceeding €100 million, fending off competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United for the midfielder. Tchouameni has made 195 appearances for Madrid across four seasons, scoring seven goals. He featured 49 times last season, including 33 La Liga appearances. The midfielder was involved in two training ground altercations with teammate Federico Valverde in May 2026. Valverde required hospital assessment following a head injury sustained during the second incident, and both players were fined €500,000. Tchouameni has appeared in three of France's five matches at this year's World Cup. Manager Didier Deschamps selected him over Madrid teammate Eduardo Camavinga for the tournament squad. France faces Morocco in Thursday's quarterfinal matchup in Boston.
