Apple is integrating AI-powered coding agents from OpenAI and Anthropic directly into Xcode, its development environment for Apple platforms, according to The Verge. The new integrations in Xcode 26.3 will allow developers to use Anthropic's Claude Agent and OpenAI's Codex to write and edit code, update project settings, and search documentation, Hacker News reported. Unlike previous AI assistance features, these agents can take action within the app rather than just providing coding suggestions, The Verge noted.
