A new YouTube channel dedicated to independent short films is set to launch on July 15. Oh Flip Shorts, curated by Indian filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and backed by producer Ranjan Singh, will debut with Ravi Muppa's short film 'Incognito', presented in collaboration with Vikramaditya Motwane.
According to Sportstar, the channel is exclusively on YouTube and will release shorts curated by Kashyap. Variety added that the channel was created by Singh and will feature a new short film every month.
"will premiere a new short film each month with the goal of building an audience and community around independent short-form cinema."
This monthly release schedule is designed to create a consistent platform for indie filmmakers, giving each short a focused promotional window.
'Incognito', directed by Ravi Muppa and starring Vikram Singh, Ayushi Nema, and Dev Chauhan, is set in a motel, as reported by Variety. Both Sportstar and Variety confirmed the July 15 release date for the film on the channel.
"Indian filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane are collaborating again to present Ravi Muppa's short film 'Incognito'"
The reunion of the two influential directors, who previously worked together on projects like the anthology 'Lust Stories', brings added attention to the channel's launch and its mission to support short-form cinema.
