Anthropic extends Claude Fable 5 access for paid subscribers until July 12

Anthropic has extended promotional access to its latest AI model, Claude Fable 5, giving eligible paid subscribers an additional five days to use the model before it transitions to a paid usage-based system.The company announced that users on supported paid plans will now be able to access Claude Fable 5 until July 12, extending the original promotional period that was scheduled to end on July 7.Sharing the update on X, Anthropic said the extension applies across all eligible paid subscription tiers without requiring users to activate the offer or pay any additional fee.We're extending access to Claude Fable 5 on all paid plans through July 12.— Claude (@claudeai) July 7, 2026 The promotion covers subscribers on Claude Pro, Max, Team and seat-based Enterprise plans, allowing them to use Claude Fable 5 as part of their existing weekly usage allowance. Anthropic said the model can consume up to 50% of a subscriber's weekly usage limit, although it may use available capacity more quickly than other Claude models because of its higher computing requirements.The company clarified that the promotion is not available for standard seats under seat-based Enterprise plans, usage-based Enterprise customers or developers accessing Claude Fable 5 through the Claude API. API usage will continue to be billed separately under Anthropic's standard pricing.Users can access Claude Fable 5 across multiple Claude platforms, including the web application, desktop and mobile apps, Microsoft 365 integrations, Microsoft Teams, Claude Code and other supported services. Anthropic noted that certain products require the latest software versions to access the new model.Once the promotional period ends on July 12, Claude Fable 5 will no longer be included within subscribers' regular weekly plan limits.
