The Philadelphia electronic folk duo @ (pronounced "at") has announced their sophomore album Autosmile, set for release in October on the iconic 4AD label, according to Stereogum and Pitchfork. The duo, consisting of Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak, previously self-released their debut Mind Palace Music in 2021, which was later reissued by Carpark Records, Pitchfork reported.
Alongside the album announcement, @ shared the title track "Autosmile" as a lead single. Stereogum described it as "a minimal, lengthy ballad" that showcases the duo's stripped-down sound.

Pitchfork called the track a "seven-minute acoustic ballad" and noted it comes with a "stripped-down performance video" directed by Sophia Feuer and Tyler Macri.

The video's sparse aesthetic matches the track's intimate acoustic arrangement, further emphasizing @'s psych-folk leanings. The signing to 4AD marks a significant step for the duo, who have been building a following since their debut.
Autosmile is due out on October 16, as confirmed by Pitchfork, and marks @'s first release on the legendary label that has housed artists like Cocteau Twins and Pixies.
