Fans of Robert Pattinson's Batman will have to wait even longer. 'The Batman Part II' has been delayed for a third time, with a new release date of February 18, 2028, according to multiple reports. The film was previously slated for October 1, 2027, as reported by El Comercio. Director Matt Reeves confirmed the new date alongside the release of the first teaser images, which were shared via Vimeo, according to BioBioChile.
"Robert Pattinson teme haberse quedado demasiado viejo para cuando pueda rodar con Matt Reeves la esperadísima secuela"
That concern is not unfounded. With the delay pushing production further into the future, Pattinson may be approaching his late 40s by the time cameras roll. Meanwhile, VEJA São Paulo noted that the new teaser has excited fans even as the wait extends.
In a separate but Batman-related bit of casting history, Anne Hathaway revealed a memorable mix-up during her audition for Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight Rises'. According to Infobae, she spent a week preparing for the wrong character before learning, during her meeting with Nolan, that she was actually auditioning for Catwoman.
"pasó una semana preparándose para interpretar al personaje equivocado antes de descubrir, durante su reunión con Christopher Nolan, que en realidad audicionaba para Gatúbela"
The anecdote adds a lighter note to the often grueling superhero casting process, though it offers little comfort to fans waiting for Pattinson's next outing as the Dark Knight.
