"dramatizes the nearly decade-long legal battle by 9/11 first responders who fell gravely ill, securing almost $1 billion in compensation."

The series centers on that legal fight, with Strong playing class action attorney Jason Smith, who leads what both outlets describe as a David vs. Goliath struggle for accountability and compensation. Variety noted that the story “explores the David vs. Goliath fight against corruption in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.”
